In a recent publication, specialists and environmental groups gave an alarm on Italian water problem. The problems are complex and consist of leaking of old and unmaintained infrastructure together with the inefficient management of the water resource.

Reducing the water leakage can be achieved by two main activities. The first is the replacement of old piping. This is an essential long-term project and the government must allocate resources and develop a renovation plan. Replacing piping is a very long and expensive process and results will show many years from now. The second activity relies on a mote technological approach, i.e., the dynamic management of the water pressure in the main pipes. This methodology relies on the physical principal that water pressure in the pipes is proportional to the square of the leakage. For example, doubling the pressure will increase leakages by a factor of four. As water demand is not constant throughout the day, managing the water pressure in the pipes accordingly may reduce water leakage dramatically. Developing a dual plan to confront water leakage seems the best way ahead.

Quando si parla di Green Community l’associazione con il mondo anglosassone rappresenta un passaggio obbligato.

Non abbiamo infatti ad oggi una sufficiente quantità di dottrina che ci permetta di designare un modello italiano di Green Community.

Se si eccettuano la definizione riportata dall’Atlante Treccani e altri pochi articoli specialistici.

Nonostante questo le Green Community italiane già previste dalla legge 221/2015 (il cosiddetto collegato ambientale alla Legge di stabilità 2016) oggetto di una serie di audizioni organizzate dal Dipartimento per gli affari regionali nell’anno 2017 e poi lasciate “in frigorifero” sono “resuscitate” a nuova vita nel 2020 con l’inserimento all’interno del “Progetto Italiae”.

According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), emissions from aviation accounts to 2% of the global carbon dioxide emissions, in particular emissions from internationalcivil aviation counts for 2/3 of the total emissions from aviation. While this may seem like a relatively small amount, the prospective growth of this sector has the concrete potential to undermine the climate goal of keeping the temperature rise well below 1.5 degree Celsius.

With this concern in mind, the 39th ICAO Assembly adopted a resolution for the establishment of a global market-based measure in the form of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), to reduce or offset CO² emissions from international civil aviation above 2020 level. CORSIA is a reduction and offsetting scheme which implies that emissions can grow when they are compensated by offsets rather than reduced (through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels notably). It is the ONLY global offsetting mechanism.
